*Disclaimer: I was provided General Admission tickets to attend the New Spring Show at Medieval Times from US Family Guide, but upgraded to the Queen’s Royalty Package on my own. My opinions are 100% my own.

We had been to Medieval Times one other time and we love the show, but did you know that they came out with a new spring show this year? The start of the new show was in January but we finally were able to go see the show last Wednesday evening in Myrtle Beach, SC. We decided to stay the night in a hotel nearby and it was perfect because when we got to Myrtle Beach that afternoon, we were able to go check in and relax for a few minutes before having to leave for the show. They do recommend that you get there 75 minutes prior to the show beginning.
But First its Pre-Show Time
We soon were on our way into the main room where you and your family can experience the pre-show. We have seen the pre-show in the past but even this has changed some. One of the things that they did during the pre-show was show everyone the swords which was extremely neat because we have never seen that before in the past. Another was telling us about the castle and the show a little more. We did go and get some drinks and while mine and Olivia’s were non-alcoholic drinks, Jason grabbed himself a giant mug of ale as he called it. His drink was a little of $25 but it came in a souvenir glass and he could get refills for $5 plus tax and we can bring it back again. Olivia got a souvenir cup as well and she got a Blue Raspberry Slushy, and I got a Pepsi in a wine glass. Again we could bring our cups back and only pay the refill price. Score!
Time for the Show
Soon it was time for us to head into the Castle Ring and get seated. Because we upgraded our tickets to the Queen’s Royalty Package we paid $22 per person but we got VIP Seating, Priority Seating Access, a Cheering Banner, Lanyard and Group Photos. We felt it was well worth it because we got first row, 2nd table and had upfront action. We soon met our server whose name was Raphel and he was amazing. After everyone was seated it was soon time for drinks and the long awaited food. The show began and we soon were treated to the knights and their horses. The show was great and the food was even better. For dinner we received this:

The dinner was perfect and we soon were enjoying the show! The falcon part of the show was the best part for Olivia and everything we saw was brand new. They even have a new princess which is completely different than the last visit we had.
Our Thoughts on the Show

Soon the show was over and it was time to go home. We thanked our server and Olivia even received a carnation from our Knight which was the Black and White Knight. The show had many new things that we felt got the crowd more interested in it. Even Jason and Olivia were chanting “Down, Down, Down, Rellow Knight Going Down” It was really supposed to be the Red & Yellow Knight but they had fun making it a new color instead. I would highly suggest this show to anyone who loves seeing sword fights, jousting and lots more. And let’s not forget about the fun games they play too! From now until April 30th, you and your family can go enjoy the show and get the Spring Break prices at any Castle near you!
